Meet Sam

Sam Betty

Taproom Manager

Sam Betty has been in Ocala since 1996, first working as a line-cook and server in multiple local establishments, learning the ins and outs of the service industry. He started in the bar business at O’Malley’s Alley in 1999 where he first met friends and owners of Infinite Ale Works, Tom McDonald and Juan Bengoa. Sam has been a beer enthusiast since and began home brewing when he received a small brew kit as a gift in 2003. His passion for beer and brewing grew quickly and he joined the Brick City Brewers homebrew club in late 2011, continuing to learn and expand his brewing capabilities with the help of his friends. When Infinite Ale Works was set to open in March of 2014, Sam volunteered to help in any way, just to be a part of the brewery action. He has been tending bar in the taproom since May of that year, gaining his Cicerone Certified Beer Server certification at the same time. Sam has just been given the title of Taproom Manager and will be overseeing the daily operations of the Infinite Ale Works taproom, organizing special events and helping to ensure that all our guests leave happy and having enjoyed their craft beer experience!

In addition to Infinite, Sam is the Director of Ocala Caregivers (A Homecare Company), President of SSB Ocala, Inc. (Specialized Business Consulting) and President of the Ocala Outreach Foundation, Inc. (A local 501c3).
